PE both ways for me. Can't justify the price for UC.

I personally don’t rate premium economy so I’d go with one of the upper class options. To fully experience it, you need to go upper on the outbound but my choice would be based on my circumstances on my return, ie if I had a long drive coming off the flight or had to work the next day, I’d swing towards upper on the return. We’ve always felt so much better and not felt jetlagged when returning upper.

UC out Economy back. 9 hours of luxury with an incredible sense of emotion after this last two years and 7 hours coming back when I matter what those bitter holiday blues will be settling in.

It depends on your own priorities. If you like a reasonable level of comfort both ways, then PE. If you need your sleep and it’s important to you, then UC coming home. If you want to experience and enjoy the UC service, then outbound would be best.
Coming home I always choose to sleep on the flight so I have my bed down as soon as the seat belt sign is off. No meal. Just a cup of tea on take off and then a good sleep takes priority! |

I would want to sleep on the way home which I find impossible in economy, also I’d appreciate extra luggage space coming home.
If the prices between the first two options were equal I’d do economy out and UC home. But if it’s saves a bit of money to do PE both ways I’d be really tempted by that. |

Option 1 or 2 for me.
If it was a choice of more comfort only one way, I’d always choose the return. |

UC out and econ return for me.
I’d rather start the holiday on a high and enjoy the UC without the tiredness or jet lag. We are using avios points for our honeymoon next year and currently we just have club world going out. When our inbound is released, we will aim for club world, but we are happy with anything! |
