King Richard

We watched this at the cinema on pre release last night.
It’s a really good film and a bit of an eye opener if it’s that close to the truth. I always knew that the Williams sisters dad was quite tough on them but blimey, he really was!

I think there is a fine line between encouraging your kids to excel at an activity that they love and forcing them to achieve things or aspirations that you might have wanted to do during your life. It opens up a big can of worms……..

Its a difficult one, but a film I want to see.

Glad you enjoyed it

It was incredibly interesting as I have kids that also play. One is now an adult and has found her own interest but still plays a little. The other is still heavily invested. We have always just supported and never pushed however I see parents like their father all the time. It’s mind boggling and I sometimes wonder how much the child actually wants it rather than the parent. I could write a very eye opening book with the things I have seen.😐😂
