Well I’ve done a Christmas Eve box for my grandaughter since she was born and also her parents. They weren’t a thing when my son was small, almost 40 years ago, but he always got new pyjamas and slippers on Christmas Eve, for ‘ Santa’ coming.
But now, my sister has informed me, she gives her grandkids a present the day the tree goes up! It’s Christmas Pyjamas( to make sure they get a good months wear out of them) , Christmas quilt cover, Christmas jumper,Christmas socks and gloves, sweets and Christmas craft stuff! Well I don’t need an excuse to spoil my grandaughter so I have ‘adopted’ this new tradition too! |

I don't do Christmas Eve boxes - never heard of them until recent years. My youngest will be 12 on the 23rd - last thing he needs is another day of presents making it 3 in a row. Plus he has autism and the whole present opening is very overwhelming for him - he often has gifts still unopened at New Year!
If I did them it would probably be pjs and hot chocolate, marshmallows etc |
