Boxing day arrival...

We are fortunate enough to be flying out on boxing Day from Heathrow to MCO.

We arrive around 4pm-ish and have a car booked with Avis through BA.

A few years back we arrived on 4th July, again with Avis and it was horrific. We had booked 7 seater minivans No cars available, massive queue to complain, and they ended up giving us 3 cars because they had zero stock.

With Christmas being an equally busy period - if not, busier, should I anticipate the same situation? I'm worried it may be worse, because of the current shortages.

We are travelling with 3 kids so want to set my own expectations. Maybe Uber it to the villa and try again the next day? As much as that would annoy me.

Anyone else travelling at this time? Or even before the pandemic at Christmas?

Boxing Day isn’t a US holiday , 4tJuly and Thanksgiving are far bigger for travel to family .
I doubt you’d have any issues picking up a car Boxing Day afternoon.

Thank you. I think my concern was around cars not being returned on xmas day on time, ready for boxing day. Hopefully as you say, it shouldn't be an issue.
