Peppermint bark

Thanks Mrs BC for the recipe.
I made some yesterday. For a first attempt it was good but I made a couple of mistakes, I think I need a larger tray next time so it’s thinner and more mint for me.
Doubt it will last long so will try another batch for Christmas.

I've had a 1st attempt but had 2 lots if white chocolate got solid once I'd added the peppermint essence 😔
The white chocolate had melted perfectly. I've put it on the dark set layer but couldn't spread it.
How do you keep the white choc spreadable? Don't have any more white choc left...

I only add the peppermint to the dark chocolate. The white just gets the candy canes sprinkled on top.

Ah thanks, so the essence doesn't effect dark choc then, its still spreadable?
I may try again if I can get some more white choc 🤞

Bumping this thread for 2021!

I'll be making my first batch of peppermint bark at the weekend 😀 A few friends/family have already hinted so I won't be eating it all myself!

I actually posted my first batch of homemade bark at the beginning of November, didn’t last long so more was made last weekend 😂

There’s not much of this week’s bark left as our grandson consumed a vast amount over the weekend 😂
