So the letter was handed over to the mail by Thomas Markle, is he not accountable for the part he played in all this?

No the letter was his, the content of the letter was hers. He is free to do what he wants with it but he can't publish it. He could give it away as he did to the Mail. They didn't have the right the court has decided to publish the content.

I suppose the closest example would be a book. I buy a book from a shop. Its now my book. I can do what I want with it. Put in the bin, rip it up, give it away to a charity shop. What I can't do is take the content of the book and publish it online. The content belongs to the author.

Just a thought
Seeing as the Appeal Court judges said that the DM never really addressed the grounds of the appeal that they lodged I'd say that that's a plausible explanation.

I saw this in the paper this morning. If Prince Harry is prepared to pay for the Police Security himself on their visits to the U.K., why would the Government refuse to allow this? Would it be because of logistics?

You cannot sell the Police, it is not part of the capitalist system.

I’m not really a football watcher but I assumed they were security guards? I didn’t realise it was the Police.

Clubs have more stewards these days because it's cheaper than having police officers.

They don't foot the whole bill but contribute towards the cost of officers inside the stadium or on land they own or control.

It would appear that Kate Moss paid for Met police officers to protect her wedding
