It’s doing what I need it to do I had it on all day yesterday and the water tray was a quarter full
It isn’t quiet enough to have on a night but to run during the day the noise is not intrusive |

If it's just for drying washing would a condenser dryer not be a better option.

Thanks millerj. Very useful. I have now ordered one.
Anne, we already have a condenser dryer but we have so much washing that it would never be off! Our over 6ft grandson generates an awful lot of washing. It is like washing for two and feeding two. Edited at 01:32 PM. |

We ordered a Meaco recently from a recommendation on here.
We have it on when we use our heated airer overnight and it's usually completely full by the morning. We used to get horrendous condensation on the front windows and door, and now it's completely gone.

I have the Aldi one and I wish I’d brought one sooner as its great for the price. It removes a shocking amount of water from the air the first week I was emptying out 2litres + a day though we do have a older house that suffers with damp in the winter anyway. laundry dries far quicker the house feels warmer as it’s less damp and it’s no noiser than running a fan though if you lift the flap on the top you can barely hear it

I have had exactly the same experience. I am so glad I bought it. When I first got it the humidity was high (I can’t remember the exact percentage) and it took a while to extract the moisture. But now it is down to 42% which is normal and the bedroom windows don’t get as wet with condensation.
So thanks to those Dibbers who recommended the machine. |

We’ve lived in our house for 16 years and nobody knows why we get so much condensation and damp. We have barrelled ceilings and in the winter it runs down every external wall upstairs which then turns into mould. Our windows are also full of condensation. We use a dehumidifier but even that doesn’t seem to do much 😕
