This week should be a lot quieter than it is. I'm in MK and Jungle Cruise was over an hour wait 5 mins after park open. Can't even imagine Christmas week if this is what it's like in the low week of the season.

What does the DAS system cover. I have an old back injury so not able to stand for long periods. Walking is fine. I was fine before because we used to have 3 fast passes and most things a walk on. Now I'm painkillered up to the eye balls. Just couldn't face standing for over an hour this morning

There's no specific disability list, it's decided on a case by case basis. But you're highly unlikely to get a DAS for mobility, they will suggest a rollator or ECV instead.

I hear you on the painkillers though. I have a back issue and even with a DAS (for other reasons) I have been struggling.

Unfortunately I saw reports DAS being widely abused by people who don’t want to queue or pay for Genie+. Will be interesting to see if Genie+ causes it to be a bigger problem. Very unfortunate for genuine people, but appears very easy to fake. Disgusting behaviour.
One guy was even on a forum saying his sister in law was openly bragging about it!

That's what I had thought. I hadn't thought of a rollator. Certainly would feel a fraud with a wheelchair/ecv as I can walk just not stand for long

Don’t get me started. When I went to Wrestlemania axxess, I saw this man in a wheelchair always going to the front of queue, no problem with that until a few evenings later I saw him running to get to the bar inside the arena. Turns out he’d hired a wheelchair for a few days to get him to the front of queues for meet and greets,

I have it due to standing. Walking actually makes it easier for me (to a point). GP did a letter even though not needed. I use crutches and take my painkillers (although to be fair most time pointless). Don't discount applying for it. Sitting in a chair all day would make me feel worse. It's down to the individual.

But, erm, lots of people are getting these "best rides" (note that Slinky Dog is not considered a fancy ride). That's the problem. It's so popular that lots of people are booking it. If anything, more people are getting these rides than the less popular rides (there's plenty of availability for the less popular attractions because less people have booked these).

Unfortunately, each ride has a limited capacity. It can only accommodate a certain amount of people per hour. So the popular rides will get booked up and/or have long queues. That's just the nature of these things.

So the only difference now is that you have to pay to not get a "Fastpass"? Quite a few commentators mentioned that there isn't a set amount of Genie+ passes, they will continue to sell them even as LL are running out.
Still not convinced that we will buy it, more likely to pay for the fancy rides that we haven't done on a 1 & done basis.

The amount of fatties on scooters probably make up a bulk of that too. Also the amount of “service dogs” I’ve seen is ridiculous. I’m dubious a poodle is a service dog, call me cynical. That said with todays society I’m sure it’s an emotional support dog or something like that. To me it seems a jolly to bring your dog and get special treatment
