It's just crowded. This was Main Street at 11am.

I'm not there so obviously can't comment on how busy it seems. But in terms of posted wait times it's certainly less busier now than it was during Thanksgiving week.

Here are the wait times for Epcot over the last couple of weeks:

Epcot shows the most obvious change - the change over the last couple of weeks is less pronounced (but still there) for the other parks. From 22nd to 26th Nov, the peak wait time level was around 7 at Epcot, in the middle of last week it was around 4, this weekend just gone it was around 5.

For comparison, here's a similar graph for Epcot in 2019:

Admittedly, Magic Kingdom's wait times don't seem to have changed much over the past couple of weeks compared to back in 2019. There's a slight decrease but it's mostly flat.

Obviously posted wait times and crowd levels aren't the same thing. Sadly, Disney doesn't provide attendance numbers for individual days so everyone bases the crowd level on the wait times.

There are a LOT of Pop Warner teens booked in at Disney Hotels at the moment. I really can't see any 'quiet' until after Christmas/New Year now.

Ah, reminds me of our 2010 trip when POR was full of Pop Warner groups. We were dreading it - shrieking, slamming doors etc - but no. We never heard a peep, and when we met any of them they were so polite!

The CMs told us what days were their park days so we could avoid them. It was only a day or two as they were competing most of the time.

Edited at 04:58 PM.

Pop Warner was moved to Universal, Disney ended (or lost - not sure who made the decision) the contract with them in 2019. Although the groups may still choose to stay at Disney rather than the host resorts and travel over.

Some of them are at Caribbean beach at the moment and of course if they Al visit Disney at the same time it’ll be heaving. 😱

Does anyone know if it’s calmed down this week please? I’ve just looked in the park availability and all 4 parks are sold out December 21st.

Nope, it feels as busy as when we were last here in March 2020 unfortunately.

Looking much the same this week to me. Peter Pan already at 50 minutes and it's still in early entry.

Week leading up to Christmas is always packed.
