I'm really gutted to hear this, we fly next Saturday and it's the main reason I booked the overnight stay and parking at thistle hotel! Really didn't want to be faffing with a bus or taxi after a long flight home. Any one know what the transfer options are available please?

You should be OK with them, just do a quick video before leaving the car (many scan it now, not sure if Heathrow do). Or they have a short stay.
I refuse to be waiting for buses etc when I come off a flight, so like my car to be right there.

I'm the same, wasn't planning on a drive to LHR but East Coast Mainline has now got engineering works on it which at a minimum is 60 mins on the travel time. Given what I just did with my family it added up to 1hr in advance of train to York (25 mins drive but taxi want an hour for contingencies), 2 hrs on train, around 2.5 hrs from getting to LHR to checking in at Premier Inn (T4 shut so long walk then taxi to hotel after taxi to Paddington and Heathrow express (which itself only took 15-20 mins) - around 5.5 hrs from leaving to arriving at hotel. On the way back it took 2 hrs from landing to getting to KGX, plus 2 hrs on train plus 30-40 mins from arriving to getting in the house. A bit better at a little over 4.5 hrs. Add 60 plus mins on either way and it gets ridiculous. I don't want to do the drive back but I guess needs must.
