So are you saying if the usa went red and you stayed they wouldn't pay for a flight home, or for a broken leg?

Both yeah! She said I am still covered before any restrictions come in to place and that I’d have time to come home. But after that the cover is void. And that they don’t pay for hotel quarantine, new flights or any lost holiday! I was really quite surprised but I confirmed all this at the end of the chat too

What someone tells you on the phone, compared to what cover actually is, are often two different things. I would suggest careful studying of the wording yourself.

So they won't pay for hotel quarantine if you were brought back when you were told you had to go back? I understand for lost holiday, so why have we been sold comprehensive covid cover that isn't fit for purpose? When I enquired and bought the insurance I was told it would cover all eventualities.

Here is what I was told yesterday!

She did also say for European holidays you’re covered just not America- which isn’t much use for us !

Probably the most unenjoyable build up to a holiday I've ever had. The goalposts continuously moving and constantly feeling on edge is horrible.

I know we're travelling during a "pandemic" but this could be the last family holiday we all have together due to some circumstances.

Absolutely scunnered and if the 7 day quarantine is implanted then it's the final nail in the coffin.

Insurance companies are the biggest frauds going. You think your covered for every situation but there are so many loopholes for them to get out of paying anything.

When did you buy your policy? I bought mine last year so a newer policy may be different. They should be paying for new flights as insurance is to cover the unexpected.

It was this year… maybe august! I’d maybe hop on live chat and just check yours out! I reallly thought I was covered - and as advised above I will double check as it seems really unfair !
