I think Disney and Universal will wait to see what course the hurricane takes when it hits land. It may downgrade with any luck. Stay safe all those there at the moment.

When we were there for Hurricane Floyd, the worst of the weather missed us. On the day after the storm was due to hit the Disney parks were opened to Disney guests only. Fingers crossed the storm decides to take another path and more importantly everyone stays safe.

We were there for Hurricane Georges in 98, don't think they closed then - there was lots of talk of it, but then only the edge actually hit Orlando area (bad enough! ) so stuff carried on

We drove back through it from Kennedy on the "bad" day - naive young couple back then - it was horrific - the rain lashed in waves where you could not even see the end of the car bonnet. A couple of hours were spent in a diner, with a whole load of other young-couple UK idiots like us!

I've been following the hurricane news on CNN, must be a really scary time for everyone out there right now.
I'm glad that Disney & Universal parks will be closed tomorrow.
Is anyone out there atm? What are hotel guests being told? Hopefully everyone has stocked up on food & drink etc, so that there is no need to attempt to go out into potentially very dangerous conditions.
Stay safe everyone 😘
