Mobile OOPS I did it again - Las Vegas Baby

Picture this...
Gran canaria... last few days... hubby has restless legs and ds has split chin so can't get in pool... my (irish) suntan is no looking good
Plane lands at 1.00am Dublin. Saturday... Google check usual sites. Our friends going to vegas 23rd march 2018 for his 40th.
I don't really do group holidays... 14 people going... I don't do 10.5 hour flights... deposit €150... I would go from Dublin to clear customs no gatwick.. . Same flights available... it's not my gig so i cant plan... did I mention €1500 for nyny?
Oops I did it again

So the plan
who are we

well as this is DH's friends trip i will introduce them first
EM (40 on this trip) and his wife TM (42) - they are friends and neighbours but are as mad as a brush. he has built a mini bar in his backgarden and there is some crack there. they have 5 children ranging from 21 to 6
GH and EH - sister and BIL to the birthday boy
BR and NR - pals of birthday boy
and of course DH and I

some of the group are heading to mexico for a week after vegas and another couple are staying in vegas for a few more days
we unfortunately have to head home to the boys

details

We are just going with the flow and are tagging along with their bookings - we are flying dublin to gatwick and onto vegas - we are the same in reverse
we booked 5 nights in the NYNY - over the easter 2018

travel details

4.15 taxi for collection
not sure how many of us for this - might try to order a mini bus for us all if not prob 2 taxis. we only live 10 mins from dublin airport.
bags are to go straight to vegas hopefully so will have to drop them in dublin. Hopefully the q is not long

straight to security and into T2 airside - not going to book lounges as i found them a bit boring last time. You are only allowed 2 alcoholic drinks. i think i drank practically a full bottle of wine oops

so prob just stay in the slaney bar which opens at 4.00am for a quick refreshment

onto gatwick with aerlingus - hope for a snooze but prob won't. buy a magazine and read it en route

land in south terminal gatwick to transfer to north
then onto vegas

def things we want to do

group photo at the vegas sign
prob see a show - a big one like britney spears or elton john. not sure what is there end of march 18

fremont street and the zip line
nyny rollercoaster and bring DH this time
would love to do the step off the stratosphere but the price is putting me off $149 i think

Weight loss for hols is a disaster. Will have to re join SW. aim to loose 2 stone. Not too much to aim towards. I would feel so much better in myself
So Christmas is full steam ahead. Santa kinda sorted. Bear wants a DS XL 3D (All the letters lol)
A girl in work has a perfect one in a box and all for €170 (235 new)
For me Christmas is all about Santa so I think that tiny box will be a disappointment to look at so will top it up with bits and pieces. Pokemon and yu gi oh mad
On the look out for duvets yu go oh and stuff
DS1 just wants money. He is 21 would love to get him a Mac though. We would all use it
But at 1k maybe not

re Vegas

I would love to fly to San Diego for the day to see the zoo. DH thinks no way as we are only there for 5 days (fair point) and we would be sick of flying - all the hassle in airports. but i would love it

would i do this instead of the grand canyon? perhaps
GC is €400 each and flights to SD are €125 each and entrance is €50 approx

but DH said to wait to see what others are doing. now i know none of them would want to go to san diego as they are going onto mexico after LV

6 months today

i would like to do a little dance as have reached the 6 month mark yippee

so this time 6 months it will be 7.20am and we will be in the air en route to gatwick.

taxi booked for 4.15 am with airport check in will be at 4.30am followed by drinks hopefully (i always have a drink at the airport no matter what time)

maybe a snooze en route
our bags go straight through so will head to north terminal on the little train. hopefully for breakfast
i like the look of jamie oliver for breakfast
but will prob be witherspoon's - price difference is quite substantial for a breakfast bap lol - might sneak a mojito in though

any other ideas for breakfast for 8 people (so not a quiet place)
