A few recent Notifications on the member website

Noticed a few new notifications on the website this morning so thought I would post them.

2021 Annual Dues Statements
Your 2021 Annual Dues Statements will be posted online on or after December 17, 2020. The due date to make your Annual Dues payment in full is January 15, 2021. You can pay online or register for Auto-Pay. By setting up Dues Auto-Pay, you can enjoy the magic of Membership without the worry of missing a payment. All Members are now eligible to register for automatic annual Dues payments with a credit card. To be eligible for monthly automatic Dues payments, a bank account in the United States is required.

To avoid late fees and interest assessments, Annual Dues payments must be posted to your account by February 14, 2021.

Late fees and interest occur on February 15, and each month thereafter on any past due balance.

Note: Annual Dues payments via the website or by phone will be unavailable December 15 and December 16 while we process annual billing statements. Other tools—such as Loan payments and online booking—will still be available and are not impacted.

November Holiday Closure

Member Services, Member Administration and Member Accounting will be closed on Thursday, November 26, 2020 in observance of Thanksgiving Day. We will reopen on Friday, November 27, 2020 at 9:00 AM Eastern Time.
Please note that the Member Online Booking tool, online banking and payments of Annual Dues and Loans will still be available during this time. All of us at Disney Vacation Club wish you a magical day.

Also, if you have a question to ask the board and reps then if you click on the Learn more link under RSVP Online for the 2020 Annual Meetings there's a section for feedback which states

Share Your Feedback

Your feedback is the lifeblood of our business, click here to select a topic from the drop-down menu and share feedback that will be thoughtfully reviewed by the appropriate leaders, from our board of directors and treasurer to the current condominium association voting representatives. Look for key feedback topics to be addressed in a new “Listening Post” column in development for future editions of Disney Files Magazine.

We are lucky that we don't have distressed points but there's Dibbers who've asked about re-banking already banked points to member services with no luck. Therefore, now might be the best time to collectively ask the board if they will consider relaxing the rules on banking for international members due to the travel ban on entering the USA for the last 9-months and possibly not being able to enter the States for some time to come.

Even if you don't currently have distressed points then consider helping your fellow international members by asking the question, hopefully the more questions they receive on the same subject might make the board actually consider this as a real problem which is only impacting their international members.

Stay Safe

Hi I’ve taken your advice and registered may concern for international members losing banked points, hoping that they will allow re-banking and suggested to them, that to help with the glut of points, those that choose to re-bank can not borrow from the following year. Who knows if it will help but like you say the more people that ask the question the more chance there is of someone listening.

I wrote to Terri Schultz at least once - unlike with previous management I got no reply.

‘Feedback is the lifeblood of our business’.

I sent a question in a few weeks ago on this topic but will do so again. As you say the more the better.

I also used the feedback option to raise these concerns for international members. Received a call from member services to be told that, although they are hearing this from many, there are no plans to make any changes to banked points. Also no update on when the 50% borrowing restriction is likely to be lifted, although they are aware that this impacts particularly on international members who tend to go for longer vacations than their USA counterparts. Advised to check DVC website regularly for any further updates.

So, I guess until there is a return to some sort of normality regarding transatlantic travel, we remain stuck in the status quo.

Anyone else had a similar call?
