Hum bit like my experience that's nothing like the picture. Its put me off buying another tree unless I've seen what it looks like.

I mentioned earlier that I went to look at christmastreeworld - they are based at a garden centre near Wigan. Most of their trees are in display so you can get a good look at texture, colour etc
Worth a visit if you are not too far away. I was looking at a Vivente which was really nice and as good as Balsam Hill but it didn’t go up to 9’ |

That was the worry I had but I wasn’t overly impressed by any I saw in person. I think my expectation and how much I want to spend might not be compatible but it’s no amount of fluffing is going to make my tree like the picture.
I’ll continue to fluff before decorating - it will be fine

I fluffed the one I had decorated then with my sisters help we added branches from my old tree 2 days later I took it down as it just didn't improve then took ages to get my refund. It wasn't cheap either.

You shouldn’t need to go to that much effort to make it look nice.
I wish they’d just be honest with their photos.

We love our Balsam Hill slim tree which we've had a few years now. But we went for the most realistic. So something over 80% with True Needle the rest Classic Needle.
Takes a while fluffing and spreading out the branches and needles, but worth the effort. Not cheap but we did buy it in a sale though. Although to be fair they seem to have them constantly! They do varying options of how realistic they are so we went for best True Needle percentage for the tree we wanted. |
