My mum's in her 70s and I struggle all the time for gifts for her, last year I bought her and her partner an afternoon tea experience for Xmas and put it in a hamper with a few bits and bobs for them both, one of her best presents she told me a few years back we bought her some proper sheepskin slippers (emu I think off qvc) she has diabetes and cold feet and she said they are heavenly to wear, she went through a stage where she was in and out of hospital and she said all the nurses were admiring them lol. Older they get harder it is my mum always sats she's lived most of her life and has most things she needs, she does like a new framed photo of the grandkids too

Candles if she likes them with an electric candle warmer. I have 2 of these I find them great. There are some really pretty ones around.

I actually think Amazon has special offers on them this week. £25 instead of £50 for the 2nd generation one and £35 for 3rd generation.

I know you said no clothing but what about a wrap, throw or fleece she can pop on to keep her warm if she's watching tv or even if cold in bed.

My mum loves Alexa, listening to music mainly or playing with grandkids on it. Have to keep reminding her it’s Alexa not Alexis though.
Or a cheap tablet. My mum loves playing games on hers.

I haven’t read the whole thread so apologies if I’m repeating!
What about a really soft, fleece type blanket or throw she can pop on her chair, sofa or her bed and wrap around her if she’s chilly. |

How about bringing the cinema or afternoon tea to her? Make your own "experience " in the comfort if her own home?

We got my 70 year old mum an Echo along with a smart plug last Christmas. We set the plug up with her lamp and she loves that she doesn’t need to get up to switch it on when it’s getting dark. She mainly uses the Echo for music as well. We got her a soup maker the year before and she still raves about that.
