Borrowed points Update: 03 July

Sorry for all the questions Ive had over these past few days but wonder if anyone who is a bit more experienced in working out these points than myself.

If I borrowed points from my 2020 UY August and I cancelled that reservation for stay in July 20th would these points go back into my 2020 UY.

We apologize for any inconvenience. It appears we told you the wrong Use Year. We should have told you Vacation Points would be returned to your August 2019 Use Year not your August 2020 Use Year. However, since your reservation was using 94 Borrowed Vacation Points, they will automatically be unborrowed and put back into your August 2020 Use Year within 15 days from when the reservation was cancelled.

Whilst they were closed yes they would have gone back into the original UY, now the resorts will be open I don�t know whether they�ve changed the policy

I would definitely recommend calling Member Services although it is almost impossible to get through now. Unfortunately, if you talked to a cast member they will most likely unborrow your points but if you did it online then you probably can't get them unborrowed.

Thank you for this info. I have been constantly trying to no avail hopefully get through eventually.

Try live chat, I was able to cancel a reservation and have points returned to their correct use year, this was while the resort was closed so as Helen said above, not sure if this still applies but live chat will be able to advise you.

Managed to get to speak to someone on phone this afternoon. Was advised that they have a dedicated team that will transfer the points back into correct UY as he could not do it on his system. Was told to just keep on checking my account.
