We saw it on the day it came out a few months ago. Loved it. We love everything Taika Waititi does though. I think I've seen Hunt for the Wilderpeople half a dozen times. I hope that he continues to make NZ based movies after the international success of Jojo Rabbit.

I love this movie so much. I thought it was just going to be a comedy, but it was so much more than that!

Amazing film! Our 13 year old lad loved it too. I laughed my head off then balled my eyes out. I love Taika Waititi, discovered him a while back through my love of Flight of the Conchords!

We’re going to see this tonight.

I’m completely out of the loop regarding what’s on at the cinema and hadn’t even heard of it. I think I only paid attention when he was little and there were lots of Pixar type films on.
Plus I never watch live TV anymore so miss adverts.

DS chose and I’m looking forward to it 😊

I absolutely loved it!
So many laugh out loud moments but also so,so sad. I was wiping tears from my eyes towards the end.
Jojo definitely deserves some sort of award for that performance. He’s only 12!
I thought Scarlett Johanssen was excellent. Both OH and I had German grandmothers and she was just like them. Typical no nonsense attitude and immaculately dressed.
We both commented how well she played it but perhaps that just evoked childhood memories for us.

Such a fantastic film
