I’ve been stuck in the kitchen for what feels like weeks!
Anyway, here’s a new recipe I’ve come up with as a vegan option.

Chocolate loaf with burnt orange marmalade and pistachio topping. There’s saffron in the marmalade too. Not sure it brings anything but hey ho!

Seems to be going down well.
I’ve discovered the new Flora vegan blocks are a million times nicer than rank stork too. If you haven’t tried them and need dairy free, they’re pretty good. Absolutely no substitute for butter IMO but if you can’t have it then they’re a step in the right direction

Have you tried the new tubs that homepride have brought out. Vegan too I think a unsalted and salted version.

I’ll have a look, thank you. It’s the smell I can’t cope with. The texture and taste too but mainly the smell!

I haven't posted in this thread for a while!

How is everyone getting on with their baking?

I made Biscoff Blondies the other day.

I recently made Bakewell cake - BBC good food recipe and it was lovely. Nice and light with a lovely almond flavour.
