Recommend a stand mixer please
:good evening
I’ve been toying with buying a food mixer to use for baking mixing dough etc but have no idea what I should be looking for. Curry’s have a Kenwood kmix760 for £249 reduced from £550 which has good reviews. Anyone able to advise please ?

Just bought a kitchen aid , sturdy and seems well built.
Artisan 5ksm125 £339 delivered direct from KitchenAid. Actually when I said just bought, I checked invoice and it was back in Nov. Didn't seem that long ago. Edited at 08:43 PM. |

I have had both a kenwood and a kitchen aid and I can’t say there is much difference in them. I bought my future daughter in law a kenwood for Xmas one of the coloured ones and she loves it.

I am torn.
I had a Kitchen Aid for years which recently packed up. I liked it a lot but I don’t feel it really reached the bottom of the bowl very well. A friend has loaned me a Kenwood Chef XL whilst I wait for an XL pattisier. I don’t love that the Kenwood hinges the other way. I do love the flexibeater. It’s FAR better than the KA version. I like the whisk on my friend’s model but I’m aware that’s now not what’s supplied. The current whisk attachment is very flimsy. I have a baker friend who has had a couple of attachments fall apart. The bowl is deeper which means much less mess but it’s also trickier to get your hand in so easily. It is much bulkier and it does walk a little. I find the Kenwood far less user friendly but it handles bigger loads better. I can’t decide whether to cancel and buy another Kitchen Aid or stick with what I’ve ordered? 🤔
