Does anyone lie about their age?

I often jokingly lie about my age by saying that I'm FAR younger than I actually am (18, rather than the genuine 27... ) but I was just musing about knocking a year off as I'm not keen on the current number, which got me wondering about if many people do actually do this, or are we all honest agers?

I mean when asked by people of course, not on official documents.

I'm always honest about my age but I know most of the DOGs lie about their ages (as if Sandra isn't getting the state pension - I've seen her in the flesh).

Unfortunately as I am ageing my memory is getting worse. I’d forget what age I had said and then just look an idiot 😂

This is exactly why I stick with 27, I've been that age for around 23 years now. Going to have to change it soon as DD turns 26 this year

I don’t see the point, you are the age you are.
We have a standing joke in our house, if someone asks if they look their age, the standard reply is “no, but you used to”

How funny my daughter is 27 too. 😉 She was really pleased to be age checked when buying wine in Tesco the other day!

I try to avoid giving my age because I can't believe it myself.

I dont lie about my age per se but I never use my real DOB Incase of fraud (I am a very unusual name - only found one other with it in the UK) so I have. “Made up one” : I always use except for official stuff
