I'm sure Orlando Informer has an article about whether it is worth it and from what I can remember it's only worth it if you get the most expensive item in each category-more worthwhile in Harry Potter places, I think the main had to be about $15-$17 and at least $5 snack-like a butterbeer or ice cream from florean fortescue, my memory is rubbish but I know I definitely got a good deal for the two I bought as I deliberately used it on more expensive options!

Eating at a Harry Potter restaurant is not a treat. Food is utterly vile.

I agree it's not particularly a treat but I though breakfast was ok.

We bought the dining deal but wouldn't do so again. Not good value and the meals were only just the value of the deal so didn't save much if anything. We also ate in one of the Harry Potter restaurants (can't remember name of) you were packed in like sardines, very noisy, I had fish and chips and the food was rubbish and really small portion. It takes 5 minutes to walk out of the park in to citywalk, probably less time than we waited for a table in Harry Potter. there's lots of choice in citywalk in all price ranges. We loved Panda Express.

thanks for your input. From what you have all said on here I think we will take a pass at the dining plan at universal then. Will have a wander over to citywalk then for nice places to eat. We never don universal last visit with the kids they were only 3 and 4 so concentrated on Disney. So much will have changed since our last visit there back in 07. Really looking forward to it.

Our children are teens and we loved universal. Not going this year but we are only in Orlando for a week and just don't have time. Citywalk was really close and easy to get to.
Hope you all have a fantastic holiday !
