Immigration in Orlando

Hi all.

First timer here.

My partner and I are flying to Florida in 18 days - woop! He's been before as a kid and I'm a 1st timer.

I've got a visa as I'm not from UK but he's got an ESTA - he's from here.

My question is - will we go through the same immigration queues together or will we be seperated? Panic mode kicking in!

They usually put you through together if you live at the same address. Me and daughter go through together and my mum has to go through by herself.

Hope you don't mind me jumping on this thread. My sister and her partner have spent the last couple of years living apart. As they still get on well they booked a holiday all together with the kids for this November.

Over the last few months things have been going well and he has effectively moved back in together.

As the holiday was booked before they were living together does my sister go through with just the kids or can they go through together?

Goldcoast, I would expect Mum/Dad/Kids to go through as a family group. I doubt if they are interested in whether Mum/Dad get on.
If they go up to the officer together, the worst that can happen is for the officer to ask Dad to wait a minute, whilst he does the others first.
Similarly, if using a kiosk, you just keep adding family members one at a time until you are done. If the machine doesn't want to process Dad with the others, it will reject him - so just finish the session with the others first, then do Dad separately next, then all move on to the officer queue.

Normally they say , it's everyone who lives at the same address . Sometimes , because my sister is not married to her partner , she's been told she can go with her family 2 kids and other times she has been sent back to fill in her own card . Now they full in two immigration cards ( the Ones you get on the plane ) just to be prepared .
