You won't get stuck. Atlanta is a very busy airport so everyone is on their game. The transfer trains are frequent and easy to use. I once was sent to one terminal for my connection and found it had moved to another terminal, getting from the first train to the correct gate took 10 mins tops. There's a open plan restaurant in one of the terminals with a pianist, so you can chill out there if you get lucky.

Atlanta is also Delta's hub , you can't turn around without seeing their staff. If you do get lost /stuck/need advice there is always someone to ask !

We’re also flying into Atlanta and then changing planes and flying to Tampa. Our layover is 2 hour 45 so this post is reassuring as I was worried too.
