Literally 99p from Tesco.

I've only ever bought the £20 sim for £20 from the Three store (and once from Argos I think) and it triggered the £20 when I activated the sim and added the add-on...which I did a few days prior to leaving to make sure it worked.

You CAN buy a sim for 99p but it's not necessary (at least, I never have)

The £20 lasts 30 days from activation hence doing a few days before departure.

You can also buy it online from Three - not sure if there are postage charges

I have a 3 phone without the feel at home option. I just buy the £20 sim and change it at the airport on way out. Works fine for me out there.

I have a monthly contract phone with EE which I just upgraded today. I was intending using the 3 at home SIM like last year however the EE agent told me today that I can call them and add on a month package to my account for £10.00 which provides 15G of data and unlimited calls and texts to UK numbers.

This will be better for us than the 3 Sim this year.

I bought a cheap US phone from walmart for $30. Plus another $15 for 30 days data & texts.

Are you referring to the Go Further add-on which has a minimum 6month contract. So it may be £10 a month but you’re in it for 6 months (£60)

TBH I don't know what it's called. The agent confirmed to me yesterday that there are no minimum terms for how long you have it and can be switched on month to month for £10. That's not to say that he was right of course so will check things out over the next couple of days.

We have used 3 on our past two trips and they have been brilliant. I found the signal to be great and the 3g was fine. You connect to wifi everywhere anyway so if i cant check facebook in the car in certain areas im ok with that. I could make and recieve calls anywhere.

I use my contract and husband buys the 20 quid sim.

[QUOTE=Fatboyslick;13268414]4G does not work on any other networks but EE and Vodafone
3G is throttled on Three

So if you're looking at a UK network to use out there visit https://www.thedibb.co.uk/forums/Usi...USA-p-427.html to see your options and what you get. VF is £6 a day for your home allowance and isn't throttled.

I would rather Data was throttled than pay £85 extra on top of what I already paid for...
