That’s incredibly late for a University to decide their exam timetable, that’s terrible for her. Keeping everything crossed that she can go. Xx

I think they can maybe get extra shifts , whether they have to stay in their primary role I don’t know.
Are you going over this summer to visit her? Xx

Yes, we are visiting for three weeks taking two granddaughters with us (14 and 13). One is her sister. Since she was little she always wanted to work at Disney.

My daughter was a lifeguard at Typhoon Lagoon back in 2011(where do the years go) she was also a lifeguard at home before going. She had a fantastic Summer.

Yes they have to take or buy bedding. They all went to Target and picked up a complete set when they arrived.

Yes but be warned the Target nearest to Flamingo (accommodation block) is usually decimated and are quite often out of stock of pillows and decent bedding. My son had to uber to a Target a bit further out to find what he needed. You can check stock online beforehand.

DD did this last year, had a fantastic time. Like others, got an Uber to the Target on the 192 to get her bedding. She also bought a new suitcase to bring stuff (mainly ears) back with her and paid for extra checked luggage. As an afterthought, it might have been cheaper for her to take bedding with her and pay for two checked cases there and back.

She's still in touch with people she met whilst she was a CM (she spent about 2 hours on a call to a friend in Rhode Island just the other day) and she's met up with a few of those new friends over here a couple of times since last summer.
That is lovely to hear that your DD has made lasting friendships. That’s a shame she won’t be eligible to do the year long program, hopefully they will realise what the change means and reverse that decision. Xx
