Getting a Devon Rex cat

Hello

After the loss of our young dog Simba early last year we are picking up a Devon Rex (indoor) cat at Easter.

Zazu (lion king themed pets only) I am hoping will be a cheeky interactive chap. My 14 yr old dd cannot wait. We’ve met him and breeder already.

Any tips or hints for this breed?

No hints, we’ve had many cats but not a Devon Rex. I’m so pleased to hear you are having a new pet after the sad loss of Simba 💞 Can’t wait to see photos of Zazu (great name 🥰 )

I'm curious why you picked that specific breed? It's not a common one and they do have health issues (which I'm sure you have researched)

Highly researched yep! I never do anything lightly!

Husband has skin allergies and so this is one of the better breeds and we’ve spent time with breeders cats. Lower shed. Also want a very interactive breed that has personality and wants play. Breeder is totally reputable with health testing and evidence and owns mum and dad.

I’ve had cats growing up and we had some 15+ years ago so definitely appreciate some like people less than others. We will see!
