Stayed at Hard Rock and Royal Pacific in the past. I preferred Royal Pacific personally but both hotels were excellent. Staying at Cabana Bay this September, which I appreciate won't be the same experience as the deluxe hotels, but I'm still really looking forward to it.

Stayed at RPR a number of years ago and didn’t hesitate to book again! Split stay with that and Cabana Bay next month (can’t wait! )

Of all discussion points on the Dibb, Universal hotels must be one of the subjects where there is close to full agreement.

As others have said, we've never had a bad stay at Universal. We've only stayed in the three premium hotels but in a couple of weeks we'll be at Aventura before moving to the Royal Pacific.

I'm looking forward to these stays far more than where we head next - Caribbean Beach!

Have stayed three times at Royal Pacific and twice at Cabana Bay, and haven’t had a bad stay at either.
Obviously the surroundings and food are a bit more upmarket at Royal Pacific (as it should be with the price)
But the staff at both are incredibly welcoming and helpful and would always greet you with a hello or a hola
The only issues I have seen was at times at both hotels there could be long lines at check in (don’t think this is particularly unusual given the number of people who check in daily)
Haven’t been since 2019 but will be back at both hotels (14 days to go) and will report back if any major changes

I have stayed in the HRH around 3 times and the RPR around 5.

I cannot fault either, harbouring just a slight preference for RPR.

If you are a thirsty family of three or four, then an upgrade to Club level generally makes good sense. Imho, for two it is marginal.

Stayed at RPR last month. Lovely hotel -no issues. Stayed at Portofino before and loved that one too. RPR is always cheaper but never feels any less in quality so we will go back.
