Ours worked out about £495 for weekend flights - so was happy with VH too

Does anyone have any experience with prices going up at the weekends?

Interestingly, I've set up a spreadsheet to start tracking prices, and the price for the Virgin package we are looking at it £20 more today than it was mid-week last week.

Unless you mean the cost of the actual flight varying by day, when I've looked the Friday flight for our dates was slightly more expensive than Saturday. Not sure if it is due to the time of year (we land the weekend before schools start) or if that is standard.

Yes I thought it had gone up around £20 ish each, what was about £770 is now around £800.. The package holidays I'm talking about too

The cheapest day to book a holiday is usually on a Tuesday. It's not always the case but something to watch out for.

If you're getting park tickets ask Virgin to give you a price as your 7% discount comes off them too and if you find them cheaper within 14 days they'll match them or refund them free of charge. You get discount on the v room too, which I love!

We've always booked everything separately before but for this year it ended up working out so competitive to book with VH (for August) that it was a bit of a no-brainer.

I took advantage of a 10% off sale and nhs discount, this meant the price for the attraction tickets worked out significantly less than the various online retailers, first time I've found that!

We've still booked the villa separately as we like to be quite choosy but lumping the flight/car/park tickets together made sense on this occasion, and allowed us to pay a deposit rather than fronting up for the full cost of the flights 11 months early!

Thank you..

This is what I'm thinking.

Also the fact that Virgin Atlantic emailed yesterday & they've moved our flight this year to Las Vegas a day forward, I rang them & our original flight has been cancelled. So after getting our seats changed back to what we originally booked - 75 A & B which were still available - they'd put us in 55 A & B, she said I've no idea why they do that!

So I've had to message the lady who is having our dogs to check they can go a day earlier, change car park, change car hire. We'll now stay 2 nights on arrival instead of 1, as I've booked other hotels near Zion national park, Lone pine, Buena park - I can't change them all.

I still haven't sorted out work as I'm self employed I'd moved customers to fit everyone in - just & now that's not possible at all..

So I'm thinking I'm happy to book a package. Technically they could still move us but we'll see.

Now to keep an eye on the prices.. and like you say easier to pay the deposit.

I had heard that about the Tuesday's before - I'll keep a look out, still slightly higher price at the moment.

Still at the higher price at the moment..

Does anyone know if they have a sale on over the bank holiday weekend?

Can you still add the flying club discount code?

Thanks.
