Garden/planting

I'm very much a beginner when it comes to gardening but I'm determined to get some nice flowers again this year.
Can anyone with more knowledge tell me what bulbs can be planted at this time of year?
My hubby is in charge of the veg so it's just pretty flowers I'm in charge of 😂
Thank you x

Spring flowering bulbs such as Daffodils and Tulips need to be planted around October time ready for Spring. Summer bulbs such as Dahlias etc can be planted out in late Spring as long as protected against frosts. A good website for bulbs is Farmer Gracy. If you wanted bedding flowers now is a great time to plant Pansies and Violas etc. Pop to a local flower nursery and see what’s there will give you an idea of what is in season.

I have a raised planter along the full length of my garden and last year bought some bulbs from Costco. There are lilys, dahlias, asters, iris, gladioli to name a few. It looked really nice but I wanted more variety as they were all quite tall so I have just bought two large boxes of wildflower seeds to sow too. They also are good for the bees and butterflies, I just have to wait until the risk of overnight frost is over before I sow them.
