Rome Help Please

Hi
I am struggling to find out if I should buy a pass here and if so which one.
We are going Monday to Friday in July, I know, hot, hot ,hot.
We want to do the usual tourist things, but please let me know if there is something you did that is a little different.

Just myself and hubby.

Thanks in advance.

We also did the Hop on Hop off bus which we booked here. Also the Colosseum and Forum advance ticket.

Whilst there we walked across from Circus Maximus to the Baths of Caracalla- absolutely fascinating coopculture.it/en/poi/ba...-caracalla/#55
Absolutely loved Rome!

We went in October 2021, I didn't get a pass. I booked up the Vatican City as I wanted to see the Sistine chapel and I also booked the tour of the Colosseum which includes the grounds and gardens.

We did a lot of walking, there is such a lot to see. I did a trip report if you're interested it's in my signature.

You really need to pre book the Vatican and Colosseum, we went in Feb, loved it. We walked EVERYWHERE, each street is filled with something amazing to look at. If we’d used transport we would have missed loads. Got the train from the airport, very easy.

The only thing we booked was the Vatican as we wanted to see the sistine Chapel. We went August and had no issues seeing anything.

Go to the Capuchin Crypt I know it sounds a little odd but if you like that sort of thing very fasinating and it gets you out the heat. Do not do Pompeii as it is all outdoors and with the heat you will really suffer. We did it in September and that was hot enough for us.

There is an amazing church called Chiesa di Sant' Ignazio di Loyola which is half way between the Trevi Fountain and the Pantheon which is definitely worth going into. It is tucked down a small street but is really worth seeking out to see the magnificent ceiling paintings - its free and its cool too.
