Boys (larger) sandals

Mason is only 9 but a size 5 😳
He has wide, chubby, sweaty feet 🙈
His feet are boiling in his trainers and he wants his usual sandals from Clarkes (the two strap sandals, doodles) but they don’t do them in his size 😡
They are perfect, soft straps that don’t rub, no nasty plastic that sweat, supportive but not restricted.
I am currently googling boys sandals and there is a huge range. So I am wondering if anyone has some recommendations. We literally only have a Clarkes and JD sports in town so it looks like I will have to order online which isn’t perfect for shoes 😖
I have seen these which look nice but who knows if they are stiff (he has sensory issues and won’t wear anything stiff)

Hi, I’ve just got DS sandals from Next, they were £26 and a large range of colours. I wasn’t sure what they would be like but very similar to the ones you have posted and the soles are soft and bendy not rigid. He is a size 5 as well. The straps adjust at the back and front.

DS has ASD and was on steroids for years when younger which gave him veruccas etc and meant he struggled a lot with his feet. He still can't cope with tight fitting shoes or laces... Thankfully he loves Skechers Go Walks (worn with socks) and has never moaned walking in them. He doesn't like flip flops and struggled with straps on sandals. He likes Crocs too so we try to get him to wear those for when we know he will get wet on rides!

I really like Ecco Off Road sandals and they are available for boys. I even wear a pair instead of slippers in the house. In the winter I just add a paid of socks. They are so supportive that my feet do not ache. (I have flat feet.) I find that trainers make my feet far too hot as well. I wish I had known that when we first went to Florida🙄. However, they aren’t cheap. Good luck with whatever you choose.
