Spoke to BA today via live chat and they confirmed this would be possible. Our back up plan is the train to london tomorrow.

Yes it is possible but it is important that you let BA know so that they can protect the rest of your outbound and inbound journeys. If you have booked with an agent ask them to contact BA and get confirmation and even if the agent does that it is always worth making sure BA have a record in the notes on your booking.

I hope it doesn't come to that and I can't believe how appallingly BA have dealt with this situation.

My advice after todays carry on is email the duty office and say which route you would ideally like.

I emailed last night asking them to call but heard nothing all night so went to bed, they emailed me at 2am asking if I was free for them to call and said that there were no flights and a train would probably be best.

When I woke at 6 I emailed them back say to call and could they not put us on the Inverness flight on Monday via Manchester they phone a few hrs later and said they had held seat on the flight for us and were we happy to go ahead ect they needed to cancel our hotel and change our car hire as well.

Also worth noting he said on the first email that he had placed a protection on my original flights as the would of cancelled them till we got new ones sorted.

I hope everyone gets away ok. I'm getting really worried for our flight on Weds from GLA-LGW-MCO. The pre-departure excitement hasn't existed this holiday. Worries about COVID/Flights/Baggage just filling me with anxiety

How far BA have fallen it’s shameful.
It's not how far BA have fallen, it's how much the unions are ruining travel and making general life miserable for everyone in the UK.

They are truly horrible people who are only happy when ruining the life's of others

The problems that these people are having are surely nothing to do with the unions. 🤷🏼

BA staff strikes nothing to do with unions? Of course it is everything to do with those irksome trouble makers.
