Very jealous of that Ample Hills ice cream and those funnel cakes! Those were both on my snack bucket list but didn't find the time - definitely crossing them off the list next year!

How strange CBR won't allow swapping your drink for a snack.

Your bean dish at BOG looks really nice, I had the chicken the last time we were there and it wasn't good although ds and dh enjoyed their lunch well enough, maybe it was just an off day.

Satuli is somewhere we've always enjoyed but you are right the portions are big.

Interesting about your dvc tour and different incentives for different properties. I thought there was still a room set up at the Boardwalk so shows what I know.

Hope you enjoy the Beach Club, I do love the stroll to Epcot and Stormalong Bay.

Thanks for posting.

I’ve been looking out for your report but still managed to miss you starting it! Hope you all have a fantastic holiday.
Food is looking great so far. We are staying at CBR so paying close attention to the food there-it looks like the beef might be nice! I can’t decide if I’m annoyed about the fact that they don’t allow you to swap out the drink for a snack, I suppose it just means more alcohol in the fridge perhaps!
Hope you have a fab night at the Beach Club and all enjoy Food & Wine.

Glad I found this - hadn’t realised you were already there until I saw a post on the Forum Spy. Have my notebook on standby 😎

Yes, there's a plant based burger at CBR called the Market burger and also a curried sandwich:
Market Burger
Grilled Plant-based Burger served with Lettuce, Tomato, Onion, and Pickles
$11.49
Curried Garbanzo Salad Sandwich
House-made Curried Garbanzo Salad with Chickpeas, Vegan Mayonnaise, Dijon Mustard, Sweet Potatoes, and Apples with Lettuce and Tomato on Multigrain Bread
$10.49

Spyglass Grill has a couple of plant based options too:
Chipotle Seitan Yuca Bowl
$9.49
Vegan Black Bean Caribbean Taco
with Pickled Vegetable Slaw and side Pico de Gallo served with Plantain and Yuca Chips
$7.99

The DVC tour was good, albeit not a tour as they don't have any of the rooms set up to your, so it's just part of hospitality house with a few meeting rooms and they do a virtual tour on the PC. They're only selling Riviera at $188 per point. Our guide was really nice, talking through the different options, changes to the resale market restrictions etc. Pretty much everything I know from being on here anyway I do think that they're at a disadvantage there though with not having the rooms to actually show people to get them to buy in. It does make the meeting quicker though. I was honest and said that the Riviera really didn't do anything for us, as it really doesn't, and that I wanted to weigh up the resale options too. I did discover that the incentive you get to attend a meeting varies depending on where you're staying though. I'd told the guy that booked our meeting that we were staying at CBR, and it was a choice of $100 gift card or 3 fastpasses pp ($100 thank you very much). However, when we arrived, the person that checked us in found our Beach Club booking and we ended up with $150 PLUS 4 extra fastpasses each! Not that I'm complaining
That’s odd, we were offered SSR and OKW when we went . I also didn’t realise the value of the gift card depended on the hotel you were staying in. I now realise that’s why she kept saying “you’re staying at the Dolphin”. We kept trying to correct her and say we had 2 nights there but were also at CSR. Presumably she was trying to give us the $150 (which we did get).

Anyway, on to food! The fish and chips do look great but we’ve never managed to try them. I had been hoping with QSDP to do more Epcot QS but with being there during F&W we mainly used snacks. Maybe next year!

It's a tasty mix of red potatoes, sweet potatoes, red peppers and onions

Wow you certainly made a dent at Epcot! Seems like food and wine was a massive hit, I think it's Flower and Garden when we go so hoping to use credits with that Xx
