Mobile Cloud nine straiteners

My GHD have given up 😬
I am thinking of trying cloud nine but not sure which ones to get:
The touch iron
Or
The original iron

The touch iron is £20 cheaper but I can’t see a difference in them both 🙈
I have had my GHD’s for about 10 years so I am not very clued up on straighteners. I don’t do anything fancy, just simply straighten my frizzy, bushy yet fine hair 😬
Any idea on the difference? Which one should I get?
Thanks

The touch has no on/off, you ‘touch’ the blades together to turn on instantly.
I have these and they are fab 😁

Can I ask a question?
I have these but I’m too afraid to leave plugged in. Are they ok?

I do like them though. I had years old GHD’s that I still use for travelling.

Unfortunately I don’t think they are dual voltage😔 I do have my old GHD’s for travel though.
I believe they switch off after a period of inactivity BUT once I have done, I always unplug anyway, I have always done so.

The regular ones are duel voltage (at least the ones that I have are) I’ve used them in the states, they’re great straighteners

I got the original Cloud 9's a few months ago, but the wide irons as I have so much thick hair. I had GHD's for 17 years which I lost, and then found after I purchased the Cloud 9's but use them to curl my hair instead of the wide ones.

I would need them to work whilst away (if we ever get to go again!) so it looks like the original ones will be the best 👍🏻

I have the touch ones and they work fine in the USA. As a previous poster said you touch the plates together to turn them on. I leave them plugged in all the time with their cover on and in the handy bag they come with
