Feeling sad

This morning, I woke up to find my almost 12 year old lion hair lop rabbit thrashing around in his cage.

We had no option but to call the emergency vet and we had to make the sad decision to have him put to sleep.

I knew it was coming - not many bunnies live to twelve - but he was absolutely fine last night. I just didn’t expect it to be so quick when it happened. 😢

The vet thinks he has had a stroke. I’m just glad that we could be with him today and it happened whilst we were at home. I hope he knew that he was loved and took some comfort in being held. It was the only way he’d calm down.

Here is a picture of my fluffy bundle. I’ll miss his bunny kisses. He was just the friendliest little thing. 💔

Aw ,he did live a very long time, our bunny was about 3 when he died 😥

Thanks all. He did live to a ripe old age. Bless him. It will take a while to get used to him not being around I guess. X
