Just caught up with your trip so far
Looks like a good travel day from Manchester, I am avidly looking for the Virgin travel days from here now as we are going to be flying with for the first time next trip We are never really hungry on arrival and normally just pick something up like you did I love the breakfast choices, we usually visit IHOP at least once The pretzel bread looked so good , as did your peanut butter with coconut ice cream, such a great choice My go to CCF cheesecake is usually key lime, I always buy to go and so I will probably also pick up a slice of the coconut one too ( well you can when on holiday Looking forward to reading more |

Hmmmm, not sure I'd Uber there (but I'm a driver so taxiing for me seems a hassle. If you're used to it it's probably no biggy!) although if you go on a Saturday there is a farmer's market on and if you're into museums there's a few to choose from. The scenic boat tour is really good and I would thoroughly recommend it. There is one main Street of shops, cafes and restaurants. Some great looking eateries for you foodies. A good mix of shops, some with a bit of a hippy vibe through to some more high end looking shops. There's a train that runs there so perhaps look at where the train runs from as could be an option to Uber to a train station and hop on the train. It's a lovely little train station right in the middle of town. For us it was a great stop for a couple of hours but if we were planning to eat there or more interested in shopping we could have spent much longer there.

Day 3 - Brekkie and lunch in Villa, Fords Garage at Margaritaville for evening meal
We had quite a lazy day today sleeping in til around 8am then spending the morning by the pool. We all wanted something light for brekkie today after our big meal at cheesecake factory last night so had strawberries and Greek yogurt with a home made low fat cold brew which was yummy. We all spent time sun bathing and going in the pool and generally just chilling. For lunch we had some sandwiches that we bought from Walmart last night. Me and hubby had a new York deli sub which could be eaten warm or cold. Hubby had had it on travel day and eaten it cold but this time decided he wanted it warm, as did I. These were surprisingly good. Really tasty and packed with meat. I'd definitely buy these again. We had them with a handful of pringles. Sister got a chicken Caesar wrap also from Walmart last night and she had that for lunch. She enjoyed it and said it was full of chicken. We then all had half of Gideon's cookie for a sweet to finish off our lunch. Sister finished off the toasted coconut and chocolate limited edition one she'd had half of yesterday so no pic taken. She still gave it a 10/10 today! Me and hubby shared the peanut butter chip one which was blooming delicious. It is very peanutty and has sea salt sprinkled on top so has a good salty/sweet mix which some may not like but i'm fully on board with a salty/sweet combo. Whilst I was sat by the pool eating my cookie, I witnessed two geckos copulating on the pool lanai. Now that's something you don't see everyday! 😂 Shortly after lunch we headed out to the premium outlets at the top of I Drive for some retail therapy. I was on a mission today as I didn't buy a sausage at Vineland outlets yesterday and hubby who was saying before we came that we shouldn't buy loads of stuff to bring home, bought 4 t-shirts from US Polo. I didn't start well as first shop was old navy and I didn't like the jeans or t-shirt I tried on but hubby bought some shorts and another t-shirt. Sister also bought a t shirt. I tried on jeans in various outlets but didn't like any. I did buy some nice denim shorts from US Polo and that was it for me. Sister bought a Dooney and Burke bag and a haul from bath and body works. Pretty disappointing shopping on my part I'm afraid but also there doesn't seem to be the same level of bargains we've seen on previous trips. Back to the villa after shopping to freshen up, we then headed to Fords Garage at Margaritaville. We all had an alcoholic drink today for the first time this trip. I had a Coors light, just the one as I'm driving. Sister had a grapefruit beer and hubby a Pina colada. We didn't take a pic of his drink as although it looked great when it arrived, it was topped with a pile of whipped cream.which hubby hates and by the time he'd scraped of off, the glass was a bit of a mess. For food, I ordered the patty melt and swapped out the fries for tater tots. This was very good but slightly greasy. Also the underside of the toast went a little soggy I guess from being hot and say on the metal plate. It was a good tasty burger though but could have done with a tad extra sauce. I'd order it again and would rate it 8.5/10. Hubby ordered the Cali burger which was a beef burger with cheese, tomato, avocado and alioli. Basically of something comes with avocado on, hubby generally gets it. He also swapped out the fries for tater tots. He enjoyed this and gave it 8.5/10. Not the best burger he's ever had but a good strong burger. Sister order the BBQ burnt ends sandwich. This was my second choice and I was worried I would have food envy however when it arrived it didn't look overly appetising as you can see from the pics. It had little black burnt bits all over it however, it was actually very tasty and sister enjoyed it alot and gave it a 9/10. She let me have a little taste and I'm glad I ordered what I did as although it was nice, it had a really smoky taste, so much so it tasted a bit fake to me. Anyhow, she enjoyed it and that's the main thing! The bill here came to $78.93 and we left a $16 tip. Edited at 04:21 AM. |

What a great morning by the pool and a lovely fresh breakfast. A shame about your lack of shopping bargains but hopefully you can rectify that later in your trip. Fords Garage looks great, I love that you can substitute fries for tots! 😁

No I'm struggling with shopping in general at the min. I did buy some new holiday clothes before we came away but just the basics and nothing I feel excited to wear. The shops are a bit rubbish both at home and here it seems. I was going to buy some trainers from Nike the same as the ones I already have but different colour but they were more expensive in the outlet here than I paid for them at home!

What a lovely relaxing morning, although cheesecake would of been my breakfast if we’d of had CCF the night before
There are quite a few trippies saying that the shopping isn’t great at the moment I’m hoping by the time we get over it may be back to how we remember 🤞🏻 Here’s hoping you will pick up a few bargains I love that your hubby orders anything with avocado 🥑 |
