Best Credit Card

We always use a currency card that you load in advance - mainly fair fx... however due to a slight over spend in Orlando last month we may be a little tight for our trip to New York in Feb!

Whats the best credit card to get in terms of fees etc for using over there?

Halifax Clarity or Post Office.

Fee free, transaction fee free and bank exchange rates mean you get best on the day

We have a Post Office card which is only used for foreign currency transactions. No fees and we find the exchange rate to be quite good too.

Aqua "advanced" is also good and fairly easy to get, just make sure you pay it off!

Otherwise Starling (debit not credit) is v.good, no issues except you have to pop into the app to enable swiping every other day

Halifax Clarity, no fees and uses the Mastercard rate which is as good as you can get at the point of purchase.
