discovery cove payment...

Anyone ordering tickets in the blue Friday sale, when it comes to the payment options please tick the US dollar payment not the UK as I have got a better exchange rate paying in dollars.
I save £27 by selection US.

I had no choice as the usd option just wouldn’t go through kept saying error, only eventually went through when I changed back to gbp 🤷🏼

Yeah I think I screwed up on this. It came out more than I expected. Grrr.

Discovery cove is the one thing that has cost me more since price watching. Should have bought them back in April.

Yes, definitely. I paid on my Halifax Clarity, in dollars, which came through as £631. The £ option at DC payment was £659

Exactly the same for me! I tried to pay in US dollars in my Halifax Clarity card and it wouldn’t let me.

I've just paid on my Halifax Clarity card in dollars so strange that it is working for some people and not others. So excited as didn't think we would get to Discovery Cove next year so well pleased.

I didn’t give me the option on my phone when I booked, it just put it through in £ at their rubbish rate. I had used my Halifax clarity so I was so annoyed I’d missed it, but I really don’t think the option was there. I went through their customer service to get it refunded and booked again on a PC - it was worth the hassle for £30 I think as it was bugging me 🤣.

It's a useful reminder OP always pay in local currency otherwise you will receive a much lower exchange rate, ideally on a fee-free card such as Halifax Clarity to avoid any other charges on top.

Same logic applies in the shops and at ATMs.
