I feel like we've tried every vacuum brand going but currently have a shark and I'm mostly very happy with it - only slight niggle is that it gets blocked quicker than other ones I've had (normally when one of my children's socks get sucked up!).

I moved from Dyson to Shark and will never go back. Its fab, lightweight, easy to use on the stairs and incredibly simple to clean out.

Shark mine was nearly 5 years old and stopped picking up. Contacted Shark to see if they could do anything. They told me didn’t make that model anymore so would send me a new upgraded model free. It was here the following day can’t get better service than that.

Another vote for Shark, especially the Anti Hair Wrap model. I'll never go back to a Dyson now
