Mobile Davina - The Menopause

I just caught up with this last night. Thought it was interesting and informative.

I agree. Really good programme, I believe it’s important to get people educated. So many of my friends have mentioned this programme over the last few days.

Would like my husband to sit and watch it then he might realise I’m quite normal not some weird woman who has various aches, pains and discomfort.

The reason why I was delayed in watching it was because my husband specifically asked to watch it with me and he wasn’t around the night it was on. I was very impressed with him!

I watched it yesterday.
I found it shocking about the (non) link of HRT to breast cancer. Her ball pit demonstration really showed it.

I seriously need my husband to watch this! He is so dismissive of the menopause, thinks its an ild wife’s tale and an excuse to moan 😤

I've just watched this. As a 42 year old woman who has been dismissed a number of times by medical professionals for my symptoms as i am "too young " and still having periods it has spurred me to push again for them to consider it.

We really are getting a raw deal.

I am suffering so badly with hot flushes at the moment, we are lucky we have a womens health doctor at our surgery but she is so good, she is booked months ahead. Was eye opening to hear about new HRT options, always thought I couldnt have it due to breast cancer risk (both sides of my family have had breast cancer) I am going to look into having some, body identical Progesterone and Oestrogen patch or gel.

Just cannot believe how debilitating physically and mentally this is, and its not just for a short time either, can last years!

The first 20 mins I was in tears, it was everything I am going through and more. I really am not keen on Davina but I think she did a great job.

I’m actually really ignorant to whether I should do anything lol.
Last had a period Aug 2019. I occasionally am hot in the night but it’s a warm room house, I never sweat like some mention.
I really am embarrassed at how I know nothing lol. Should I take something to replace what’s missing or do anything special ?
