Coffee Machines - Bean to Cup

Does anyone have a 'Bean to Cup' machine that they can recommend. Currently have a Pod machine which is ok, but would prefer a fresh bean to cup model.

I'm especially looking for a machine that will also make a decent hot latte. I have seen quite a few on the internet, some with a milk container, some with a tube that you put in the milk and some with the traditional steam wand. But all seem to have mixed reviews and a wide range of prices.

Thanks.

We have the Delonghi Magnifica bean to cup. Ours has the nozzle you put in the milk to froth it. I didn't want the jug one because it looked fiddly to wash.
I'm not much of a coffee drinker but even I like an occasional latte now. Husband uses it several times a day and is one of the best gifts I have ever bought him. I think it was about £350 but must have saved us money as his regular Costa visits stopped !

Another vote for the delonghi magnifica, we have had one for about 6 years and have just had to replace it.

We also have a Delonghi Magnifica with the built in milk steaming nozzle. Had it a good few years now. Ours you can use beans or ground coffee, but we only ever use beans in ours.

Only upkeep is the occasional descale which is simple to do.

I invested in the gaga anima prestige.

It is expensive but I haven't regretted it.

Just to jump on this thread if it’s ok Stu - we got a Delonghi Magnifica with the nozzle a couple of weeks ago but I’m still struggling to get a drink exactly as I’d like it. It tastes too milky and not enough coffee when I make a latte if that makes sense?

What beans would people recommend and what setting do you have the grinding adjustment dial and the selection dial at?

Should I be able to make an Americano with it? If so I’m definitely doing something wrong as it’s too weak when I use the long coffee button.

Thanks

Another vote for the de'longhi Magnifica. Had ours over 6 years now.

This might not be the exact model, but it looks the same ao/product/ecam22360b-de...E&gclsrc=aw.ds

I was in the same situation a year ago. We went for a Delonghi.
We take three cups of coffee per day. The saving by buying beans over pods we reckoned would pay back in just over a year. And you have a better choice of coffee.
I am glad we made the move.

But our machine is significantly bigger than our pod machine. Just something to consider.

I have the Gaggia Cadorna Plus, it was an insurance replacement for my old Gaggia which was more than 20 years old and they just couldn’t repair when the LCD screen wore out.
Tbh I don’t think it’s as good a build quality but time will tell, it makes good coffee and has a milk frother that works Also has 4 save settings so different people in same house can adjust their own brews to their preferences without having to faff about with it.
It’s quite neat and fits into a smaller space than the previous one:
