This game of cat and magpie went on for over 10 minutes. There were 4 magpies and a jackdaw teasing the poor moggy at one stage!

The magpies definitely won! And yes, the cat eventually climbed down as if it wasn't bothered.

Love this. One of my cats was once eating some chicken at the bottom of the garden when a magpie flew down near to him. It started dancing and making the tck tck noise that magpies make. Anyhow as soon as the cat ran towards the magpie it flew away and its friend pinched his chicken in a great display of teamwork. Poor little vinniecat couldn’t quite understand what had happened.

Local rspb reserve. Lots of baby geese and ducks on show. The gull babies are well. Hidden though.
