Stobart operated these flights for Aer Lingus, in fact from BHX to DUB, DUB-LHR, I know we’re a mixture of flights in a day, some by stobart, some by Aer Lingus.

I see Aer Lingus taking up the slack tbh

Aer Lingus and BA Cityflyer (same family group) are covering the flights themselves in the short term.

I think everything will be fine for those using it as part of an onward travel package, should we be allowed back into the US!

Stobart air was up for sale by its owners, then Stobart lost the Aerlingus contract from 2023, subsequently Stobart was even less desirable for any buyer and was then wound up by its owners.

Interestingly, the new contract winner was Emerald Airlines, which was only setup months before winning the contract and has no air operator licence. The owner used to be the director of Aerlingus Regional. Call me sceptical, but Im thinking he may have known he would win the contract before applying.

Here is a link to the Routes Online article about the temporary measures by EI and BA City Flyer to plug the gap left by Stobart Air

Thanks for posting I read the link but it did not appear to mention the Bristol to Dublin route which I am booked on.

Crazy they win a contract with no AOC! Let's hope Emerald pick up the staff made redundant from Stobart.

I can see this being the first of many airlines that may not last 2021 (hoping I'm wrong) and as someone whose job relies on aircraft flying, it worries me greatly.
