If your used to DDP how are you doing it next time?

We will miss the ease of the dining plan and the freedom of not worrying about cost etc, but I’m trying to focus on the positives of not having it - I really felt like it ruled me too much last time and we never really had ‘room’ for many snacks and goodies so we felt we missed out a bit. We’re going to do a supermarket shop for snack bars / drinks and breakfast items. We intend to eat far more QS this time and I think dd and I will probably share quite often or we’ll split 2 meals between 3 of us and then enjoy treats / snacks more… we tend to ‘graze’ more when it’s hot, rather than eat large meals. We’ll probably pre book 3 TS for over the 11 night stay… I certainly won’t miss 11 days worth of tips! I’m quite excited about finding new places to eat and foods to try I reckon we’ll budget average of £100 a day for the 3 of us and then use the dining credit for the TS meals. I need to sit down and look at prices more carefully to see if that’s realistic though.

This is totally me! I felt so gutted but now i've accepted if we get away this September then just be ok with it and research a lot more where to go.

I'll be booking 3 TS meals too but working out when is tough with boo bash etc.

We'll be doing similar - a lot more QS and snacks, and a few TS (no signatures) but it's partly because we both still have taste & smell issues from Covid so really expensive meals will be a waste.
