FP+ do I HAVE to book 3 in advance?
Hi Haven't used the FP+ system before and whilst I have a basic understanding and know we can book 60 days in advance I am wondering if I have to book 3 FP+ in before I can get another one on the day? This is referring to the parks with a tier system only. If I want two T1 (I realise I am not alone in this!) and one T2, Can I book one T1 and one T2 in advance for as early as possible, can I then book a second T1 on the day if available (after using the first two)? Or do I have to have used three FP+ before I can score a second T1? The advantage to doing this is that I can begin trying to get the second T1 an hour earlier.
Or is there a better way to increase likelihood of getting a second T1 on the day? How do you maximise your chances of the most sought after FP+?

In short, yes you have to use what’s initially allotted to you first. But there are ways to get round the system if you wanna get rid of the ‘naff’ FP’s as soon as possible leaving room to pick things up on the day.
Using Studios as an example cos that’s the park right now where tiers are a struggle... I’d book a show for very first thing in the morning, as early as possible. If you get to see it great, if you don’t then it’s no loss. Then book a Tier one and the best available tier two (star tours) for times that you’ll be in the park (10ish onward). By midday you’re fast passes are used and you can now pick one FP at a time up regardless of tiers. So in short, if nothing much in tier two takes your fancy... book something you’re more than happy to not have a fast pass for for first thing in the morning. It’s fine if it’s wasted. Then book your most sought after tier one and the best available tier two to actually use. Should be free from midday to pick FP’s up at your leisure. Edited at 09:35 AM. |

The way I understand it the first three FP+ are x1 tier one and x2 tier two regardless of whether booked in advance or not. Those three need to be used for those things before freeing up your one at a time FP+ which can now be used for any available attraction.
