Check in problems. Stressed. Special assistance

I tried to check in for our flight tomorrow.
We have booked seats, 4 were provided for free via special assistance and we paid for one for hubby.
In check in its saying Error unpaid seats..
Its allowed myself and two smaller kids to check in but it wants me to pay for the seats before it will allow me to prunt off boarding passes.
My hubby and disabled daughter cannot be checked in and ut says they must check in at the airport.
Ive called TC and the woman looked and said there must be an error on the booking, just all check in at the airport and hopefully they will wave the seat cost..

The return seats look like they will have the same problem but she said she doesn't want to try to take off and rebook seats as it may not let her book the same seats and we won't be together.

I am super stressed.

Thomas Cook are brilliant with special assistance! You just need to chat with them...

We too have seats fur hubby and youngest daughter at no cost due to special assistance for June next year.. we also had the same in June just passed. We could not check in on line at all... but that didn't bother us, we went to the airport special assistance desk and got a lanyard for our youngest and were then led to check-in.
Your best bet is to just get there in plenty of time and speak to check in when you get there. Or phone /online chat again, hoping you get someone else.
This year we were all bookeded together free of charge (5 of us, I then explained we already had seats booked, but she said that the seats would have been booked for all of us anyway) but the lady I spoke to this year round only booked the seats for my daughter and 1 other, which will be hubby. She's a daddies girl.

I have found Thomas Cook to be amazing and very accommodating, just ask again or get to check in in plenty of time. To be honest I thought it was standard procedure that those with special assistance couldn't check in online as I have never been able to.

We plan to get there just before 4 hours prior to grab the lanyard and find our way. Thankyou again. Just bedding to change now then i can have a shower before we head to manchester

Glad you are calmer.

We fly from Glasgow normally, but fly from Manchester next year due to cost.
From what I can tell from the airport maps... the special assistance rest is pretty close to the Thomas Cook desks. The desks open 4 hours before the flight so that's a great idea.

Dont worry about it too much. I honestly would be a little nervous because lets face it, everyone worries about something, but I'm sure you guys will be fine. As long as you have remembered to print out the booking conformation that has the special assistance code next to the name of the person it is for.

The Glasgow lanyard has a wee bit that says VIP on it... my daughter didn't want to take it off! 😂

We are looking forward to travelling to Manchester (we are west coast of Scotland) and staying in a hotel the night before! My youngest loves a premier inn! Lol. Don't even know why... she gets so excited about It!

I haven't been able to check in online with TC for my flight tomorrow either. It lets me go through the whole process then at the last stage says I cant and I need to check in at the airport. Spoke to TC Live chat who were no help at all. After digging around a bit online I've found lots of info (although not from TC themselves) that says online check in is not available when flying to the states... I too am going to stop stressing and take my chances at the airport tomorrow, no pre booked seats, eek!

We have special assistance and we couldn't check in for the disabled person it was all fine at the airport. Don't worry check in staff will know what to do and will not charge you for the sears at all! Have a fab trip x

We had the same problem with Thomas Cook. We checked in at the airport and they waved the seat fees at check in.

Thankyou all. It horrible but it makes me feel better knowing others have had the same problems. Haha evil.
We are on the road. Its lashing down cannot wait to get a McDonald's and have a Premier inn shower as I ran out of time at home haha.
