Mobile eBay for selling things?

I’ve got a few bits & pieces I would like to sell; books, clothes, CDs, DVDs. Is eBay the best place? If not, where else is worth thinking about? Used to do car boot sales so haven’t sold online before!

I use ebay as i find local selling pages hard work as people dont turn up etc. I do find Ebay take a lot off you but if you have loads to sell you can still make loads. I have 2 young daughters and have been selling all there old clothes and made quite a lot.

I'm quite new to ebay but we have had a massive clearout lately and I sold loads of stuff on there, enough to book an extra holiday for us this year, it was a lot easier to do than I thought, I've had the odd non payer but I just report that to ebay and let them deal with it. I sold mainly clothes, bags, shoes and childrens clothes

odds and ends like cd/dvd/books will be more hassle than they are worth

The fees on eBay plus the cut that PayPal take make it not worth the hassle. Facebooks Facebay type thing is free and usually stuff goes within hours.

Have the fees gone up recently on eBay? I sold a bed for my FIL on eBay and he got £50 for it. I was shocked that eBay charged me £7.40 in fees. I don’t remember it being that much before.

Edited to add: Are PayPal going to charge me as well?

Exactly, the fees are crazy now, plus like I said the fact PayPal take 10% (?) just for you to receive the money from the buyer. It was once a good place to sell but the costs are very prohibitive these days

Unless they're exceedingly rare you're not going to get anything for CDs/DVDs on eBay. Facebook buy and sell groups are your best bet for that sorta stuff
