You may well have it done under local. Most people feel ok after it but a bit uncomfortable because the bladder and urethra tend to be irritated by it. I would plan nothing for the day of the procedure and just go home, relax and drink plenty fluid afterwards.

Took me a week to fully recover after the full anesthesia, I didn't react well at all to it ☹️ and it was the rigid one.

As above, I had a local but felt a bit tender afterwards so had the rest of the day off work.

I have had it done twice, both under a general anaesthetic and both times had another procedure done at the same time. First one stretched my urethra, 2nd my bladder itself as the problem didn't rectify itself the first time round. I was 18 then 21 for the 2nd time, no way could I have gone to college or work. I was very stingy down there and couldn't stop peeing as was drinking loads to flush my system out.

I have to have one too, rigid so full anaesthetic. Cant say I’m looking forward to it!

I had it with a local - so you can watch thr inside of your bladder on the tv! TBH it was fine - it stung a little, and then after the local anaesthetic wore off, the first couple of wees were like a REALLY bad water infection. After that it was fine.
I don’t imagine you will feel bad in any way - I drove home and carried as as normal, but mine was late afternoon.

That’s how the consultant described the flexi to me, that I could pretty much carry on as normal. However, with the rigid he said it would take a day or two to get over it.

I had this done back in April. Although I didn't feel terrible, I did have discomfort and wouldn't have wanted to work that day.

You will be better off resting. It's not really bad xx

I had mine done on a weekend, so didn't need to take any time off. Mine was a flexi, it did sting a bit mind but wasnt that bad. I had what j would describe as period pain, so an afternoon resting with a hot water bottle helped me.
