Afternoon tea baking

Spent some time doing some baking over the weekend. Sausage rolls sandwich selection. Made plain scones to go with cream & jam red velvet cupcakes maderia cake and millionaires shortbread. Tried a new recipe for the latter and it was nicer than the Mary Berry one I did before. Anyone else been baking?

I made Madeira Cake and sultana cake gingerbread and shortbread and cheese loaf
We’ve 2 elderly realatives with us right now and boy do they eat
Never much at a time but have to have something with a cup of tea or with soup and a sandwich

They actually moved into one house when lockdown was introduced in March loved it so much sold one and made it a permanent arrangement about 6 weeks ago
But this local lockdown really might be the End of any independent living for them
While they are here they will still have some independence there own bedroom / sitting room with TV little kitchenette with a kettle toaster microwave fridge etc
And the option to eat with us or on there own GDs who also lives with us is there daily joy
We baked with them and him and they made the soup and our staffie has shifted her digs as they love her to bits and can walk her round the block to get out daily
Half it is in the freezer though
